Nelson Hendrikse

President/Real Estate Broker

Nelson is the broker and founder of Southeast Property Management Company. Nelson received his formal education at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Nelson’s Real Estate experience began over 40 years ago when he was assistant vice-president of National Housing Sales Corporation. It was there that he learned the art of selling and effectively led a 200 person sales team until he joined Century 21 as a real estate broker and co-owner of a franchise office. In 1979 he became the president and owner of a hauling company called Grove Disposal which expanded under his control until he sold it to Browning Ferris Corporation in April of 1987.

It was at that time he formed Southeast Realty and Development and Southeast Property Management. In this role, he became instrumental in the development of the West Kendall commercial neighborhood while serving as managing partner in numerous real estate general partnerships involving land acquisition and development. Among his past developments are a 35 acre industrial development in West Kendall for Lakeside Center Partners and a 33 acre shopping center and multi-family site for Coral Reef partners. Other developments include the Courts of Galloway Glen, Biscayne Grove Estates, Cherry Hill, Park Place professional office park, Lakeside professional office park, and Parkside Commercial Center .

Mike Hendrikse

Licensed Sales Associate

Mike joined Southeast Property when he received his real estate license in 1994. Through the years Mike has become invaluable to his many clients as a source of valuable information and has built a reputation for finding opportunities where others may not see them.

Not only has he been effective in facilitating large and complex land transactions, but he also has proven to be a valuable consultant to his clients as they decide what project would be the highest and best use for the land.

Darrel Corradino

Licensed Broker Associate

Darrel Corradino is a broker-associate and managing partner for the company. Darrel is a native to Miami , Florida . Darrel graduated from The Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Majoring in Entrepreneurship and Small to Medium-sized Business Management. Darrel has a keen understanding of the real estate needs that small to medium-sized businesses and investors presently have.

He specializes in the West Kendall and South Dade vacant land and commercial markets. Currently, he serves on the finance committee for a national non-profit organization, called Young Life, which sole purpose is to lead teenagers to Jesus Christ by relationship building; and as a Deacon for Old Cutler Presbyterian Church, which primary duty is to serve the church and others pursuing a relationship with God.

Steven Hendrikse

Licensed Broker Associate

Steven is a licensed Real Estate Broker Associate and managing partner of Southeast Property. He joined Southeast Property in 2000. Steve is a member of the Realtor Association of Miami. In 1999 he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, Management Information Systems and International Business from The Florida State University.

Steven specializes in industrial and office property sales, leasing and management.

Adolfo Leonardo

Licensed Sales Associate

Fluent in both English and Portuguese, Adolfo specializes in commercial investment sales to his Brazilian clientele

J.P. Ivins

Field Property Manager

J.P. joined Southeast Property Management in 2006 as a property manager. He brings with him an ability to deal on a professional level in all aspects of commercial property management.

Alexis Hendrikse


Alexis joined SEPM in March 2004 as the bookkeeper, but soon took over the role of property manager. Over the next several years she and JP Ivins expanded the Condominium Association management as well as added investment management, she combined her knowledge of property management and bookkeeping skills to offer a personalized management to investors based on their need. Alexis also assists with the day to day operations of the office.

Alexis is married to Mike Hendrikse, whom she met after coming to work at SEPM, together they have 2 children. Alexis devotes many hours of her free time to the community. She serves as a Board Member at the Perrine Baseball and Softball Association, where she played softball at as a child and now both of her children play; as well as being a Board member for PBSA she is also the Commissioner of the Adult Softball league. Alexis also serves as a volunteer in the children’s ministries at her church, Old Cutler Presbyterian Church. Several Sundays a month you can find her teaching Sunday school to the preschool children and every summer she volunteers her time teaching at Vacation Bible School.
